How to take out resenator????

All things Altima Coupe.

Is it possible for me to take out the resenator out of my exhaust bc i dont feel like payin money to get it done if i could do it myself???????

ive never done this stuff before but i want to learn how to do it sooner or later so y not start now

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but if I'm not mistaken, the resenator is welded onto the stock exhaust piping so the only way to take it off is to chop it off and replace it by welding on a piece of exhaust tubing that's the same length as the resenator and diameter as the stock exhaust.

Yes the stock one is welded on. I have the Stillen cat-back and can remove the resonator, then replace it with a piece of piping...not that I am though.

you could go old school on it, take a reciprocating saw cut out the resonator, get an exhaust pipe that is a few inches longer then the resonator, make sure the inner diameter of the pipe your putting in, is the same as the outer diameter of the factory exhaust pipe, then use some exhaust clamps, and there you go

yeah, FGF just had that done recently, it sounds alot better. and i believe it only cost him bout 50 bucks.

should i go to an exhaust shop specifically or just any place like a mechanics one

Go to a muffler shop. I'm thinking of doing the same thing or adding a smaller resonator.
