Tired of being asked on how to do it and also maybe you can refer everyone to this thread that wants to know how. Tools required is: needle nose type pliers Item that can cut Either electrical tape or wire capFirst step get in your car and look at your pop-up headlight button. Next step is wiggle it till it comes out.It took me about 20 seconds.Of wigglign. My friend did his in like 2 seconds.Just be gentle. Now get your cutting tool or pliers and with the cutting a edge and cut the brown wire. Put on a wire cap or electrical tape for safety. Now for those of you who want them on here is your section.Open up your kick panel fuse box.Locate the 5th fuse from the bottom on the right. It should be a 5amp fuse. It is labeled as light control.I'll go into detial about this in a minute. This is what you need to do to make your sleepy eyes work, just by cutting the one brown wire.1. Put the headlights so they are down2. Turn the headlights ON so light emits3. Turn the headlights off4. AS they are GOING down hit the button on which we just cut the wire on.5. It will make them stop and thus you have sleepy eyes.6. If they are not at desired level you can hit the switch twice and maybe get it to where you want it, or hit the switch once so they close and start procedure over.

Now for those of you who want to have them in sleepy eye mod with the light turned on here you go.Follow everystep above.Set your headlights at their desired position by using the steps above. Now go back to the fuse box picture.Remove the 5amp fuse that is 5 fuses from the bottom on the right.(light control)Now turn your headligths on an you got sleepy eyes with lights on.*NOTE* Not recommended for night drivingIf you dont' feel like trying to put the fuse back in at night but want them to be open then here is the solution.Just put your light on highbeam and they will open fully. You can then turn it back to normal headlight.Example: I got pulled over for my sleepy eyes.I hit my highbeams and they fully opened up and would not close due to fuse being removed.Cop came up and said it was for my headlight.Looks at them again and asked about switch or something like that.I replied no my windows where down today when it rained(my car was soaked carpet seats everything so story was true) and it affected my electronics. Then showed him how the headlights wouldn't go down anymore. But would turn on and off and I had high beam.So he said just make sure they stay fully opened and have a good night. This is in Orange city.Cops that write tickets for 2mph over speed limit, until law passed. He let me go.In the morning all you do is put the fuse back in.Reset the lights to your desired level. and pull the fuse.60seconds of your time.

Now if you don't want want to deal with the fuse, you can use a toggle switch.By using a blown fuse or cutting another wire to break the conection.(I don't know which wire yet)Used my fuse trick and it works fine. AIM is florida240sx for any ?'s

awesome write-up! just an off-topic question though... in your sig you say that one 240 has a KA-T... is that on this 240 or your other one? or is that just the plans for it... I was just curious. and I like how you have all of the lighting in the front, looks sharp.

::edit:: on second look I saw that you mentioned that you're waiting to get the kit (and/or turbo)... it looks like you have your hands full w/ all of your 240's and projects.

I couldn't find the write up...Only thing I found was with the one guy that had it on cardomain. But there was a big argument and wrong information on how to do sleepy eyes with them on. I just made this all at once so you don't have to read through multiple post, some of which is wrong information.Just trying to simplify the whole thing into one part.

the plan for the miata is to turbo it eventually and get about 150hp.

bc turbo kits for a 1.6 miata are pretty cheap and i think i can do it for about a grand or so

Now that I have my job maybe I can put some money into developing a "cleaner" sleepy eye method. One where you turn the lights on, and it just goes to sleepy eye with no fiddling with switches, and the lamp is reangled to point straight ahead instead of slightly downwards.

I didn't think that the light motors could lock half way though. That is interesting, maybe I just need to fiddle with a set of lamp motors.

Perhaps I should find a weekend to head to the Nissan junkyard
