I have a 1994 q45 with 150 000 km. Most fluids been changed/ flushed. Ive been trying to gain some speed off a start but it doens;t seem to want to go in drive. It just does a nice sound but no speed at all. Ive been seein people shift with their automatic q45 on you tube. WAs wondering if this will harm the car in any way and what rpm should i shift at? Also when i shift, am i suppose to ease off on the gas, shift, then push gas again or does it not matter?

Things that ive changed. Fluid changes ( tansmission, power steering), oil filter, air intake filter and abs soliond. Other then that that the rest is stock. Is there anything else that is recommended change to make this thing perform better?

you definitely dont want to ease off the gas when you manually shift... The computer will get confused and youll probably do more damage.

Its not adding any harm to your car at all!

I think you're making this way too complicated... Have you ever driven a manual? Do it just like that, except without the clutch and letting off the gas.

Basic thing is not to go from D to R or P. Even N can be not a good thing if you don't lift.

The shift leaver is just an electrical switch telling tcu what you think you want. The TCU does what is necessary and correct. See all the pages of graphs [gear vs speed vs tps load] . Even though TPS is infinitely varialble between 0.44 and 4.0 volts the ecu and and tcu average the voltage [throttle position] to 10 step of demand plus idle, 10%, 20%, etc.

The stock tcu is programmed to achieve best fuel economy. It is much smarter than average operator and can react faster to mild changes in load [moving from flat to up- down hills].

Not sure there is a graph unless it is in FSM.

Q45tech has only cited a few data points and expected range.
