How to set power door locks on 2006 M45
Can you set the door locks to unlock when car is placed in park and lock when reverse is selected? Or something like that?

Nope, you cannot set them to auto lock. There have been several threads complaining this feature being missing.

It is strange to see them overlook this with all the other high tech stuff the car has. I have little kids and like this feature.

The 2009 G37s will do that :/ Of course, when they lock it is really loud and rather annoying. Always scares me like I just hit soemthing and I look around for a second.

Try this, someone else on this site recommended it. Simple wiring, you could purchase it and have it installed at a local shop. You are looking at the auto lock/unlock module... Hope this helps!
