My Rogue honks the horn when you lock the door with the key fob, but only flashes the lights when unlocking.
How can you set the car to honk the horn also, when unlocking. This would be helpful in the daylight
when trying to find your car in a big parking lot.

Maybe I don't understand the larger issue, but if you are looking for the car in a parking lot, why not just keep pressing the lock button to activate the horn and lights, and then unlock it once you find it?
Regardless, I don't know how to do what you are asking, and don't want my neighbors cars honking in the morning whenever they unlock

You gave no details about your vehicle, so I'll hazard a guess that it's a first gen Rogue. I looked in the owners manual, and found that you cannot set the horn to honk when you hit the unlock button. As you can see from this screen grab, the horn only honks when locking the vehicle.

After posting the query, I tested to see how I could get the car to honk. I found that I could press
the "lock" button several times to hear the horn. Maybe that is logical, but both my wife and I thought
we had seen other people get their cars to honk when opening. My wife is bad at losing the car in big
parking lots.
The Rogue is a 2015 SL with the premium package.
Looks like the honking process is standard in all Rogues.
