Hello.

I was wondering if my 03 M45 can select the regular cruise control instead of ICC? The ICC is the most annoying part of this car. I wish I could get rid of it or replace to the regular one. Does anyone know how to modify it or solutions?

At least, I would like to how to readjust the distance sensor.

Thanks.

2012 M... I can't even compare with my 03 M. Those are totally different cars.

Thanks, anyway.

If VDC is turned off the cruise works as normal and not ICC.

OMG... I have to see a dealer again to adjust the distance sensor. It will be at least $100...

Thanks, guys.

To turn VDC off you just press the button that is labelled as VDC. With the dynamic control off, it cant use adaptive cruise because it has the stuff turned off to dynamically control the car. When you turn on cruise with the VDC off it beeps once for about a second to let you know intelligent cruise wont be working.

I tried to use cruise control with turned-off VDC but it won't work. The cruise does not engaged at all.

Thanks, anyway.

It's not possible with the 2003 M45. It was changed in 2004 to specifically allow no ICC.
What exactly was changed is a good question. Without the program used to acknowledge the holding of the cruise power switch as a command, it's an unknown.

I accidentally hit a dog in the back streets, country roads one night and my ICC unit (laser) was moved so mine is not working! I like all my functions in my car to actually FUNCTION so Itook it to the dealer for a quote and $200 it is for RECALIBRATION. So, for now.. No ICC, I have better things to spend my money on.... Thing is annoying anyways :bigthumb:

$200 for adjusting ICC. I should have bought another Infiniti not 03 M45.
