I'm in the process of taking out my KA. I'd like to know how to "safely" remove the A/C without releasing the "bad stuff" into the atmosphere...is there any thing i should know about before taking the A/C lines off?? Any help would be great! Thanks.

To remove the freon without making it onto the EPA's most wanted list, you'll have to take the car to someone and have the system evacuated. There is no other way to do it. Unless you happen to have the proper equipment (and most likely the certification), but you wouldn't be asking this question if you had all that.

That's usually what we do. Are you swapping in a KA or a different motor?
