hi guys , how do i rewire my ac fan (the one infront of the radiator) to be always on? my clutch fan locked up and i completely removed it. I might replace a new one later, but i really dont care about it. I know im supposed to rewire the positive and negative wires, but which one is which and where do I hook them up to? straight to the battery? thx for any help

Don't know what kind of 240 you have but S13 and S14 wiring instrucions are in FAQ. Certainly helped me out.

if everything works correctly, the ac fan doubles as a secondary engine cooling fan. i took my clutch fan off on purpose. I let it idle for over 3 hours, the temp never went high. Its connected to the coolant temp gauge somewhere as well as the air conditioner. Test it out first tho, if you let your car warm up, just wait. eventually the fan should start kicking on and off, without the ac running, just in relation to the cooling temp. It may take a while too, seemed like half an hour of warming it up before it even got hot enough to kick in, but it did. Works great too, revs faster:-)

Is there a wiring diagram to work only when the temp reaches it's peak to turn ON. I've seen the threads to run the fan all the time, it would be nice to run it with just the stock parts, and no fan clutch. I have the feeling that an aftermarket sensor may be needed. It can't be good for the fan to run constantly.

I have a writeup on how to wire an aftermarket fan using the ac fan power. Search it up, it will answer your questions.

That said, the ac fan was never meant to act as the only cooling fan. idling in your garage is one thing, sitting in traffic on a hot day is quite another.

I would just get some wire and insert it into the plugs and touch to the neg and pos of the battery to find out which is which, then buy a 30 amp toggle and wire it to the battery and the toggle, or ignition and toggle. I bought dual electric fans off an altima and did the same thing with each fan to its own toggle. Works great, but I would reccomend getting a toggle that either has a light or a fail safe feature like a cover so that you don't kill your battery or the engine by not turning on the power.
