Here's a rough How To Retrofit on a 4th gen max.

Tools:

Socket SetPhillips AND FlatheadDremelSandpaperSpare Set of HandsOven (heat gun, or hairdryer)

Materials:

OE (or aftermarket) headlights (in this case, custom enterprise clear/black HLs)Projectors (ITC, HLs from a 2000 Toyota Celica GT-S)Bulbs to match (ITC, H7, 8000K HID; given you have an HID conversion kit)Paint (if desired)Lock Tite (RTV Silicone or Polyeurathane)

Here we go . . .

Once you gather your materials you start by using the oven to heat the lights up for disassembly. Preheat to 350, AND KEEP AN EYE ON THE LIGHTS! You do not want to melt them. If you have projectors that are seperate from the lights already, skip this step.

After that, take the headlight assembly apart to remove the projector. You can use the flathead to achieve this.

Next, use a dremel to cut (if need be) the projector out of the housing.

Then we can smooth out the edges if you need to.

And now we have a projector assembly!

I decided to paint my projectors black. if you don't know how to shoot some spry paint, um, point and spray.

Now, we can set all that aside, grab the factory HLs, and repeat the HL disassembly steps. Once again, WATCH THE LIGHTS AND BE SURE NOT TO MELT THEM!!! You will remove the adjustment bracket prior to heating the lights up.

Once the lights are apart, use a dremel to trim a hole to fit the projectors in. This hole should be in line with where the original bulb lined up. once again, i painted my housings black (this is why there's sandpaper, to rough that chrome look up a bit so the paint will adhere.)

NOTE: There will be some bolts holding the projector together, if not there should be some holes on the projector housing. You need to replace these with 3" or 4" bolts to have something to aim the projector with.

After you get the long bolts, you will need to mount them and see where to drill in the housing for the bolts to come through. You really want to be exact on where these holses are. We have to put a bolt and washers on the other side for proper aiming. Once you get the holes drilled, it's time for a test fit.

I painted the trim ring to match the car since i was not using bezels.

If they match up well, mount them. Get them mounted into the HLs, and before you put the glass back on, install the lights on the car, and aim them. This is the hardest parts. you have to utilize the bolts sticking out of the back of the housing to adjust the up, down, left, & right. Trust me when i say DO THIS TO THE BEST OF YOUR ABILITY. If you aim these wrong, you will get flashed constantly, or will have no projection on the road.

After they are aimed, take the lights off the car and heat the factory eurathane up with a hairdryer or heat gun. Only heat it up enought to get it tacky.

Once it's tacky, put the glass back on. After that, put an extra bead of RTV, polyeurathane, or lock tite to make a water tight seal. Put the clips on after this to ensure a good seal.

Finally, install the newly retrofitted lights on your ride

Put it all together and make sure your lights light up, everything is snug, and enjoy the gawking that your car will cause!!!

Done!

it will basically be the same idea, but why go through the trouble:

they are also offered in chrome. plus, if you want to run these at shows only, you could always run the jdm black housings for everyday driving.
