I did do a search and nothing came up, so please no posts about doing searches. Now I know it is alot easier to retain A/C when swapping in a SR20det into a 1991-up S13 chassis. But have heard of nothing about the 89-90 S13 chassis. People have told me it is harder to retain A/c, but fail to elaborate why. Do I need a custom a/c bracket? Custom lines? Any help would be greatly appreciated. And please no "just ditch the a/c" replies, cause that is not a option here in hot *** Texas!!!!

If you've searched with nothing come up, you've searched for the wrong keywords.

With that said, if you want to keep the R12 in there, you'll need a new bracket. If you're up to getting it recharged at a station, you can pull the line from the firewall and run the line from the DOHC to a DOHC compressor. There will be brazing a line to make it fit here as well, but nowhere near as involved as with trying to retain a SOHC compressor setup.

My suggestion: Get the DOHC lines and compressor then go to a station to get it drained and recharged and deal with it that way.
