I just got this pair of 7-spokes for 50 bucks with tires (not cheap, but not bad). Anyways, I wanted to see if anyone new how to make the wheels almost new again? Do they need to be ground, sanded, or whatever else? I did clean them a little and polished the surface to make them a little cleaner. If anyone has any ideas that would be awesome!

If there's a body shop that's local to you, ask them who they use to refinish wheels. Every shop has a guy they go to.

Also check with a local truck(semi) wash. They are usually 'in the know' with local wheel restorers. You'll want to be carefull sanding them, because you'll easily remove the clearcoat. After this it's only a matter of time before they rust-unless you clean/polish them religously.

There isn't any place near me that restores wheels at all. I hate this boring town. I'll probably just have to deal with them being all scratched up and peeling clear-coat, until I can afford to have them professionally restored. My Dad (who used to be in the auto-body field) said that it wouldn't be worth trying to "restore" them myself. He would even have someone else do it. Oh well...
