Has anyone replaced the transmission speed sensor on 2003 G35? I can not find much info? How do you get to it? Pictures would be most helpful if anyone has some. I have not noticed any shifting problems, but the check engine light is on and throwing P0720. I searched the forums but nothing was very specific, its in the transmission did not help me much.

I believe the speed sensor starts at page 110

Did anyone find a fix for this? To my understanding, the revolution speed sensor is part of the valve body assembly and its $1300 from the dealer. I have an 03 G35 sedan a/t with the same code. Mine is stuck in third gear. Lost...

I was looking at this issue myself because my automatic's dashboard gear selector would not show anything at all. Turns out it's an electrical problem for me but I did find that the speed sensor 2 is inside of the transmission oil cover. According to the manual it looks like it is just screwed down and has a clip as well. I would recommend a transmission shop with free inspection.

*I'm not a mechanic but from what I read the speed sensor 1 is just a built in check....speed sensor 2 is a physical part.
