Anyone know how to replace the cabin filter in the M37? Is it similar to the M35/45? I'm going to take a look this weekend. Dealer wants way too much to swap out filter. Thanks!

OK maybe I'm an idiot, but it says remove the Lower panel RH, whihc I assume it the ritgh side code when tyou open the door and then the glove box. Well I don't see how to get the glove box out. I have removed all the screws and removed the retaining cord. Can you send IP section since that says how to remove that Instrument RH. Thanks!

Forget it, found this thread whihc explained it and had a link to the docs.

1. Open the glove box (but not all the way.. Makes it easier to pull glovebox out).
2. Pull back glove box assembly. (Pull striaght out and up.. You'll need to give it a firm tug. There are three clips which attach the glovebox to the holding rod which allow it to pivot open /shut.)
3. Remove damper pin on left side. (pops right out when you pull to the left)
CAUTION:
Never excessively pull string of glove box damper.
* Remove instrument lower panel RH.
4. Pop out side dashboard cover panel (easily pops out and back in).
5. Remove screws (A) (7 total - Four at top, one in center, and two on bottom sides.)
6. Remove instrument lower panel RH. (easily pulls out after removing the 7 screws)
7. You will see the cover panel for the filter. Open it, then remove and replace filter.
8. Replace components in reverse order.

I need to replace my filter too - I see a number of different brands and types (activated charcoal, non charcoal) - which did you buy and/or recommend, and from where?

Infinitipartsusa.com real Infiniti parts fast shipment. This is the M37S info:

16546EJ70A , Air filter, m37, m56, 3.7l 2 $14.70 $29.40
272771ME0B , Cabin air filter, m37, m56, w/touring package 1 $36.90 $36.90

The cabin filter is dependant on Touring package,

Got the filter from infinitparts.com, replaced it as per the instructions on the "how to" pages and above on this thread from kulen, took me less than 10 mins - piece of cake. I was careful not to break the 2 tabs on the left side of the air filter door. the hardest part (if any) was pushing the white door back in all the way.

My filter was sooo funky, made the pics on the other thread look like clean filters. YUCK!

for $20-$30 a year, I will definitely be changing my filter annually.

What irrates me is Infiniti could have made this a bit easier, Acura had same pain in the butt process for a while and on the 09 TL they made it far easier for DIY replacment.

anybody knows why different part numbers for Touring, or no Touring? Are the filters different size??? I have sport touring package, would I buy the one with touring or w/o???
Also, I found several aftermarket cabin filters that supposedly fit my M37 and every single one has different dimensions. Some are square, some rectangle WTF?
