I'm replacing my starter on my 2012 m37x , and I was wondering what else do I have to remove to get it out? It's a very tight fit. Looks like it has to come out through wheel well. Do I have to remove axle and motor mount for it to come out?

Not sure if the M35 is the same as the M37, but this video for a 2006 model might help out:

BUT!!! I always disconnect the negative cable first! Some people disconnect both, but always disconnect the negative first.

Have you found the factory service manual? It shows all removal & installation details.
Find it at https://www.nicoclub.com/service-manual ... 12/STR.pdf

Ty guys, I had to remove the right side lower control arm on drivers side so I could remove the bolt that holds motor mount raise engine a few inches to get axle out. The stater came right out through wheelwell. What a pain just to replace starter.
