Ok, I see what they are saying about the compressor, but how do I disconnect the alternator?

According to Wes, you mave to be mean to it
elwesso wrote:What you have to do is just keep futzing with it until it comes out... When you replace the alternator once its not as bad, but it really stays wedged in there if its the original one...

Be MEAN to it, take the pry bar and keep going at it..... Since your not reusing it, beat the crap out of it..... thats what i did
Are you using an Factory Service Manual to amke sure you've gotten all the bolts?

Well, you have access to a 1994 FSM

http://www.nicoclub.com/FSM/Q45/

Hope you are using an OEM for a replacement because you probably don't want to go back in there for a while.

I'd offer advice or even help, but I have never done it and wouldn't at my age without a lift.

Be sure to read the timing chain guide article before you crank her again!

Even after I got all the bolts out( I think there is on on the back. Mine would not move. Moving the A/C out of the way helped
