how to replace low beam d2r HID bulb on 2003 infiniti qx4?

trying to replace headlight bulb (HID) on 2003 infiniti qx4.does anyone know how to get the headlight assembly out?i have been messing with it and got the drivers side assemblypartially out. the outside corner is loose but the side that is nextto the grill is still connected somehow? do you do it from the top in the engine bay or do you pull off the tire and fender well splash shield and do it from there? any write ups or pictures. i have been on maxima.org since 1999 and chicagomaximaclub.net this is the first time i have posted in qx4 forum. thanks for any help

hey i do. OK, first disconnect your battery (both terminals), and take the battery out only if the light thats out is on the battry side so you can have some more room. Then turn off your headlight switch (fully). Look behind your headlight, you should see a round black cover, with the diameter of 1.5 inches. unscrew that, and inside you will find the headlight. Fiddle with teh bulb connecter that connects the connector the the headlight housing, i think its like a mini clamp, and out will come the bulb. BE VERY CAREFUL NOT TO LOOSE THE SCREWS. It happened to me, and i had to tape the light in. After taht, twist the bulb out of the connector and your good to put the new bulb in. hope that helps
