Ive looked everywhere but still cant find any step by step instructions on how to replace the engine coolant overflow tank on my 2001 QX4. I have the service manual but its not addressed in the "LC engine coolant and lubrication" section. Does anyone know where I can find this information or know how to do it? Thanks.

I took a look at my Chilton's book and it says to remove the radiator grille and left headlight housing, detach the hose, undo the bolts and pull it out. Got my fingers crossed it's as easy as that. Let us know if that works for you.

While you have the headlight housing out (and have access to the other one), you may want to consider replacing the amber sidemarker bulbs. They're only accessible when the housing is out.

May I ask why you're replacing your reservoir? I'm on another auto forum and manufacturer recommends replacing it after 150K miles. So, I'm just curious as to why you're replacing yours.

On our '02 QX4, I'm getting ready to replace the coolant, car has 146K miles. Thanks.
