So some @ssh0les smashed out my back window last night i'm assuming trying to jack my stereo but it was real stupid to smash out the back window it got glass all over the stereo :tisk: My rottweiler started going nuts so I guess they got scared off who knows. Luckily stereo is still intact.

Now there is a QX4 at my junkyard and I am hoping it still has its back window. Does anyone know how to go about removing and replacing the liftgate window? Any help is appreciated.

This is why no matter what I do I always want to be able to fit in my garage at home.

Open the glass hatch, unscrew the top brackets, pop out the struts at the window side, disconnect rear defroster wiring harnesses, done. It's pretty simple, unless things are radically different on the QX4. The only problem you may encounter is if the glass hatch on the junkyard QX4 is closed, and no key is available, in which case you'll need to remove the rear door trim to gain access to the lock rod to manually unlock it. I also suggest to bring a friend along to hold up the glass while you're detaching it, as it's somewhat heavy and it'd be unwieldy to try to remove it yourself.

lucky.... i would love to get a chance to do some human target practice.... plus i'd like to see first hand the effects of hollow tip bullets when they hit a fleeing thief...

Yeah shouldn't be hard at all to replace, I am just praying that no one got it off the junkyard Q already who knows what a replacement would cost. I am starting to think it was vandalism if you wanted my subs you wouldn't throw a cinderblock through the window directly at them. Luckily the cinderblock hit the top of the sub box denting it a bit and not straight into the sub.
