Hello i need help how to replace and check if my fuel injector on my 90 Maxima are working properly .. some say if i have a 12" screwdriver i can put the tip next to the fuel injector to hear if there is a clicking sound ..if not that could be a sign the fuel injector is bad or clugged... do i need a special tools for that ? thanks

I changed my 94 nissan maxima`s 3 fuel injectors.

you can test them by simply unplugging the electrical connection on top of them and listen the voice of the car, if the voice declines or changes it means that your fuel injector works, at least it constributes to the power of your engine.

another is to testin more detail is to measure their resistance with an ohmmeter. theor resistance should at specific value that I dont remember now but if they show very low values tit means that they are gone and they have short cicuit on them.

You need to remove the upper intake manifold to get to the injectors. That's about the hardest part, and even that's not bad at all.

The process is detailed starting at page 151 here.

I believe correct resistance is 10 to 14 ohms.
