Can anyone tell me how to get to the bulbs on the fog lights for a '94 Q45? What model bulb do I get, H3s?

I'm looking for better bulbs too. I've put in APC (www.4APC.net) H4/9003 and 9005 bulbs in the headlamps and high beams, and they are a bit brighter and better color temp (4000 degrees K...more blue-white then yellow-white). Any suggestions without going to the new and more expensive Silverstar or Silverstar Ultra bulbs?

Thanks for the advice,

-Mike

you have to take the whole fog out. easier if you remove the wheel well trim and work from both outside and the backside.

yes, H3.

Thanks GQ. I was afraid of that.

Actually, you can put the car on ramps and remove the underbody plastic just beneath the fog lights.

It helps to have a working knowledge of the securement method. It's really easy, takes about five or ten minutes each side.

I have a '94 Q as well and took it to the dealer while it was under warranty, but the warranty did not pay for blown bulbs.

Dealer said it could only be fixed by replacing the entire housing @ $250 per side.

Me being a stickler for proving I can do what is said can't be done did it for about 5 bucks! I can't remember which bulb it is (small cylindical with about a 2 inch wire) at the moment, but I'll check and get back to you - unless someone else knows right off.

Either way, it can be aquired at most of the auto parts places and you can replace it yourself.

About $134 from Joe, last time I checked over a year ago.

Use H3 SilverStar.

If you don't armor them, you will be replacing them again soon.
