How to remove trunk lock cylinder

I need to remove a trunk lock cylinder to get rekeyed for a project I'm working on. I know that the front cover needs to come off so the cylinder can slide out of the casing, but I can't seem to find a way to do so without destroying most of the casing.

btw, this isn't pulling the unit from the deck lid. that's the easy part this is removing the cylinder with the tumblers from the entire unit

arent there parts of the front cover that gets cinched onto the casing? This is for your vert?
