Hi,

My 2009fx35 Awd with 196k miles, has p0500. Speedometer not working, slip, Vdc, abs, brake, and lights lite up.

Per attached picture,
I’m trying to replace the speed sensor (not abs sensor), located outside transmission. I,ve removed the cotter pin, but I was not able to remove it. I’ve turned it anti clockwise and to pull it but nothing happened. Do I need a special tool to remove it?

I'm pretty sure an '09 FX doesn't have a discrete VSS, the speed comes from the ABS system. That looks like the main tranny umbilical and not a sensor.
