Pretty sure I read somewhere on here that you just gotta stick something small and flat (credit card, flathead, etc) under the metal ring that surrounds the button, and it should pop out.

Take out the bezel around the instrument cluster first. Then the button and its surround can be easily unclipped from the bezel.

Yep, stick a credit card or something plastic and this behind the silver ring around the start button. It pops it out within 2 minutes.

There is no need to remove the whole cluster or anything.

Didn't know the objective was to depress the clip with the credit card. Had to pry that b**** out and now it's scratched.
