How to remove the odour of a second handed car?
other than bringing it to a body shop, any thumb rule to remove the odour?
lol...this was a Seinfeld episode! A guy with really bad BO parked Jerry's car, and they couldn't get the smell out. Nothing worked for him, and he ended up leaving the keys in the car to have it stolen. Anyway, I'm sure if you cleaned/vac out the car it would help. You could always get an air cleaner too.

You need to get an air purifier that is basically an ozone generator.
Something like one of those Sharper Image Quadro Air Purifiers will do the trick.
Or, you can go to Bed, Bath & Beyond and pick up a couple of small, wall units for $19.95 each (I have them at home...don't recall the name).
What you do is get a long extension cord, drape it through one of your windows (you should roll up the window to about 1" from the top to leave room for the extension cord), and plug in the purifier.
Position the purifier somewhere in the middle of your center console, and let it run for at least 12 hours.
The bigger the ozone generator, the less time it will take to get the smell out.

me and my buddy started a fiberglass box and my car smelled like fiberglass for 2 weeks i detailed the interior every other day i used febreeze auto and carpet deoderizers every day and i put leather air fresheners in there by the time i got done it smelled like a new car

we use a thing at work called "o-zone"
you run it in the car for an hour with all the windows shut and it runs like pure oxygen inside the car for an hour...you cant breathe it or you will get sick. but it works...
