there's 1 topic for the E head, but i wondering about the DE.

i gotta change the head from my 93 240sx because the valves are bent(bad timing).what am thinking of doing is removing the head with the intake manifold still in it, so what am wondering is are there any brakets holding the intake manifold to the block? i think there's one but am not sure..what else do i need to take out?am not removing any other accesories at the moment(i.e ps, water pump....etc....), but i will if i have 2.

From what I remember about taking my DE apart is that there are two support brackets on the intake manifold that support it to the block.

Theres a black bracket that bolts up to the lower part of the power steering pump, and theres one under the throttle body. Make sure you disconnect the pcv hose under the intake, its a pain to get back on! Good luck just swapped head on a 96 altima, 12 hours total and I woulden't have done it with out this place and altimas.net
