how to remove the climate control knob in 2001 maxima

how do i remove the volume like thing on the ac controller i tired pulling it it won't come outbtw its the digital climate control unit

it pulls out just like the volume, but its hard to pull.

i changed the bulbs and tried to pull the know with pliers and damaged it so i'm going to switch it with the one in the stereo, so all i have to do is just pull it hard?thanksD

its a little complicated:( i always like to do things the hard way

next time wrap it with duct tape and make a small handle for your fingers or hand to hold on to!!

now that its damaged...you might as well sand it down, prime and paint it black so it looks decent.

haha reminds me when i was outside wiring my radio and came back inside to find my friend standing next to the oem headunit and yelling because he stripped all the screws.
