I have a 96 240SX SE. I need to remove the steering wheel. Can anyone give me some instructions on how to do so.

Thanks in advance..

Disconnect your neg terminal(battery) for 30mins. to make sure that there are no left over power in your car. YOu dont want the airbag to deploy while youre taking of the wheel.

THen, try to look for the screw that connects the airbag to the steering wheel. There should be 2 or so i dunno. WHen you take those out, just take off your airbag(wiggle it out if its resisting).

THere will be some connectors when you pull out the airbag. Disconnect all this things that you see.

WHen everythings all taken out, you'll see a bolt/nut thats in the middle of the steering wheel. Now run to autozone(or maybe run to autozone first before you take out your steering wheel) and rent a steering wheel puller.

Using the puller is pretty much straight forward.

When you install your aftermarket wheel, you might have to use a thin washer for the main nut (which holds on the hub). My steering wheel was loose and I realized the Sparco hub was shorter and I was running out of threads on the shaft.
