how to remove rear main seal? rb25det

how? manual does not say. i removed all bolts and the 2 on the bottom, but i cant get the fcuker to budge..

Tap on the housing lightly with a hammer. That should shake it loose enough to squeeze a screw driver between it and the block to pry it loose. Work your way around, then have fun actually removing the seal from the housing. Then reinstalling the rear seal is fun too. I don't know about anybody else, but mine was a bear to reinstall. I had it lubed to the hilt to get it to slide back into the housing.

I am usually able to use a screwdrive and pry out the seal without having to remove the outer housing. If you insist on removing the housing also, I use a sharpened chisel. If I remember correctly there are some guide pins also so the housing has to come straight out
