I'm still a little unclear on how to remove the AC controls and the top vent panel.

I have a non Bose rogue so no centre speaker.

Do I just wedge something in and try to pop it out? I have a panel remove tool, (some smooth pastic thing) so that should help reduce any damage.

How do you start to pull it out? Top sides bottom?

Do you have to try an unclip or do they pop out?

Please advice, I don't want to damage my baby rogue.

Im too lazy to find the post where it has pictures and all.

For the top, you just take and pull the cover towards you - it takes a decent amount of force, and is very hard to get a grip -

For the bottom - I would recommend as a trick:take off the body panel that rests nearest the drivers right foot. That should pop off easily. Then if you can fit your hand (you might need to pull out the heater tube to fit it - which is simple) push the AC control panel out from the back.

Try not to bend this AC control panel, I pried it out from the front which caused it to bend and caused sever gap - it bent back into place, but isn't perfect. Pushing it out from behind should fix this.

If you look you can see what I mean.

It's hard to bring yourself to do this without a photo guide at least. We are not in the habit of roughing up our babies at all.

I would like to see a Video (You Tube?) of this being done so I too could get these panels off without damage.

Most of the Rogue panels were just snapped into place at the factory. You will find very few screws holding the interior in place.

So it's easy but scary.

Do you have the service manual? If not, do a search here to bring you to another website which hosts it.

If you go in the IP (Instrument panel) chapter, you will find drawings on how the panels are put in place. Give you the place and the type of hardware.

I have the Metra kit and it's rubbish. Doesn't fit that great. You can't tell if it's not your car, but I know it.

I believe there is another kit, but crutchfields only had the Metra kit.

The link was not an endorcement of Metra, just a link to "free" information on how to deconstruct the center front panels.

The other manufacturer is Scosche.
