The FSM makes it sound easy, can I just unbolt it and pull ? Are there any alignment issues ? Can I damage anything ?

The engine and transmission are out of the car... and I need to separate them, so I can move them. Thanks.

my mechanic shop sait it was easier to just drop the motor with the transmission then try to take off the transmission by itself. Kinda weird if you ask me but it makes sense in a way.

I can barley get to the fill bolt. No idea how a car works nor will i ever understand untill i build my 240. But mabie unbolt the driveshaft then the motor or transmission and drop it down.

*shrug* I am sure someone else will come ehre and post

they just slide apart after unbolted. the input shaft is the only thing you could really mess up, but only if you let the trans rest on it.

I took all the bolts out, but have not been successful prying it apart yet... what the heck is holding these things together ? a gasket ?
