Well I had meineke to get that free brake check and I was talking to the mechanic and he showed me that both my front wheels were a little shakey while it was jacked up.

The front right tire was loose (ex. if you face towards the front of the car, the wheel would move on its Y-axis). He told me that i needed to tighten up the wheel bearing lock nut. Problem is....I cant get that damn hub cap off that covers it! Does that thing screw off or what ? Also, could there be any another nut or bolt that would need tightening?

My front left tire shook along the X-axis and he showed me that it needs a new inner tie rod.

Hehe aparently he gave me this info free of charge (since i guess they charge for that kind of inspection?). Guess its always good to get to know the mechanic who will work on your car.

thats a weird way e explained that to you. if you have a pop on type hub cap pull it really hard or try using a flat head srew driver. also if your wheel is moving that bad check your wheel. might be bent.

Yep, screw driver and a hammer.

Mine doesn't have those. Oh, well...it's not hurting anything.

If the wheel moves on the y-axis, it could be ball joints or the hub bearing is shot. The hub bearing is a sealed unit, so tightening it will so nothing, it must be pressed out of the steering knuckle and a new one pressed in. Jack the car up in your own driveway and wiggle the wheel while keeping a close eye on the ball joint. If there is movement at the joint, it is bad. If it looks ok but the wheel hub moves without the steering knuckle, hub bearing is bad.
