I have read both on the service manual and this guide
http://www.nicoclub.com/archives/altima ... stall.html
On how to remove the side masks for the dashboard.

The guide just says to get a good grip and pull. I've tried for 10 minutes and I just can't get it off! :wtf2:
How do I get a grip on this damn thing? Which direction should I pull it? I'm afraid of putting too much force on it because I may break the clips holding it in.

Could anyone explain it a little better?

get a flat screwdriver, start from the bottom and pry off, i think theres only like 3 tabs holding it on, seriously though, i dont think you could break it if you tried, SO PULL ON THAT SUCKER!!! lol

Yeah thanks I was able to get it out with a screw driver. The first time I put the screw driver in it came right off. The second time I tried opening it I scratched it a little :(
