How To Remove Dash Board (Gauge Area)

hey.. i was wondering.. i've been doing some detailing in the interior of my car... and i'm having trouble removing the dash cover that is located around the gauges~.. ya kno?.. even after i unscrew everything.. the stupid lever for the tilt steering is in the way.. how do i remove this stupid dash cover!! SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!!!.. do i need to remove the tilt steering lever?.. if so.. how do i do it!?!!?.. AHHHHH...

you have to drop the wheel ;)

take out the 5? bolt/screws that hold the cover that is below the steering wheel (the part that is above the knee area), once that is removed (actually it will hang, due to the hood release being attached, but that is ok)

remove the column cover (which is like 6 or 8 screws).. pop that apart

there are 2 14, or 12 mm bolts that hold the steering wheel upremove those and then the wheel and column should hang freely, it is held up by springs....just press down as hard as you need to to get the gap large enough to remove the gauge cover.

be sure to take out all the buttons (hazards, defrose, cruise...etc)shouldn't be a problem after that =)

thanks a bunch man~.. heh.. got my gauges in today.. i'll try it later tonight or something.. =D... if i have any more problems i'll just post agian.. hehe...
