How do you get the black pieces of trim that go along the top of the quarter panels off? I am going to be trying to mold my widebody fenders on tonight and I want to slip those off so I can sand the panel all the way to the edge, please give me some help. thanks.

I believe there are screws on the back side - You'll have to go in from the interior, removing the inner panels.

wouldn't the fabric of the top get in the way? it looks like it joins right into the back of the trim.

Hmmmm.

I can't recall - Drop the top and see if you can get at it that way (between the top fabric and the metal).

they are right above where the cloth attaches, if anyone ever needs to know this. There are 4 of them along the inside edge. The leading one is behind the 1/4 glass and kind of tricky to get to. Once you get them off there is still a laying of caulk behind them so you may have to pry them up but they are pretty heavy steel so I don't think you should have to worry about bending them. They also have a screw through a piece of rubber trim at the front but the trim will pop off if you are too lazy to take out the screw.
