How to remove "Console Pocket" in EX35

Greetings All,

I'm trying to fix the iPod connector in my '10 EX35. According to the service manual, the steps start with removing console lid, then onto the console pocket.

However, Step 2 doesn't provide details on how to remove the console pocket at all. Do I have to remove the "console rear finisher" first (as listed in step 7 on Page 23)?.

Can you please take a look and advise?
