First you need to remove the radio trim piece. Then you need to remove the glove compartment. Then the trim piece and gauge cluster need to come out. You will have to unhook the transmission cable from the transmission so it will allow you to pull the cluster out far enough to unhook the cable from the back along with the lights/switches. Then remove the panel underneath the steering wheel. Now that you have done all of the above, there is a 12mm nut at each end of the dash located very close to the door jam. There are also screws behind the gauge cluster and also behind the middle vent section. Now on top of the dash on each end, there are two tabs that need to be removed very close to the windshield. THen remove the 10/12mm nuts. At this point you should be ready to pull the dash out. It easier to take the dash out the passenger side because the steering wheel won't allow you to take it out of the driver side.

Recap, remove all screws you see holding either trim pieces on or the gauge cluster. THere are only 4 nuts that have to be removed.

Quick question. Being new to this forum, what is a B13 and B15?

This is great, thanks for info. I have some questions though, if i may:-

-radio trim piece-does the shifter surround have to come off to access any invisible fixings that secure the radio surround? Does the shifter surround just prise off?

-unhook the transmission cable from the transmission-I presume I do this from underneath with a strong pair of grips?

-unhook the cable from the back along with the lights/switches. is this the same cable as above or another one that controls ac ???

Thanks again

These codes refer to the body shapes over the years

You can tell the difference most easily based on body style, but the numbers actually dictate a change in chassis.

B13: 91-94 (skinny, boxy)B14: 95-99 (fatter, slightly less boxy)B15: 00-06 (fat, rounded)

There's a whole slew of mechanical differences as well as a lot of similarities, being it that they covered the same models.

The shifter piece doesn't have to be removed. Just the trim piece around the vents and radio and HACV control. The speedometer cable has to be unscrewed from from the transmission. Be very carefully not to pull on the actually cable once you get it unscrwed. There is a small tab on the end of the cable once you remove it that has to line back up with a notch in transmission to screw it back in properly. Once you unscrew the cable from the transmission, that will allow you more slack in the cable so you can unhook it from the back of the gauge cluster.
