How can you release fuel pressure on an s14 without that crazy computer the dealers use (or obviously, spilling fuel everywhere)? Or where can I buy this crazy computer? I gotta install my turbo in this friday so any help is greatly appreciated! Also where can you buy the "engine slinger" that the fsm calls for? And last one how about the oil pan seal cutter? Haha I feel like a newb, any imput is appreciated!

The crazy computer you can get for probably $5,000 and it does a lot more than release the fuel pressure. You can also start the car and pull the fuel pump fuse. The car will die. Crank it a couple more times. Also remove the gas cap to remove pressure in the tank. This will zero out the pressure in the rail but there will still be some fuel in it that will leak out if you disconnect a line. Engine slinger...is that a support stand or a cherry picker? Try Pep Boys or Harbor Freight. The oil pan seal cutter you don't really need, just be real careful to not scratch the oil pan or the block when you break the seal.

Thanks, I wondered if the fuel pump fuse might work, good to know. The engine slinger is evidentally an attachment to the engine hoist which allows it to be connected to the engine itself. I haven't pulled an engine before so I am not sure if this part is needed or not, if not, what sort of adapters would you use, and where where you bolt them on the 240sx engine?

Not sure where to bolt to on your engine, but the service manual should say where in the EM Section. Sounds like the slinger is some kind of load leveler.
