Well I just got new labtop from Dell cause they had 4 day sale and prices where amazing! But I was looking at recovery D it says I have 4 gb free of 9 gb . So I remember reading some where on internet that this is some times caused by system restore factory setting are set too high and it eat up lot space. For some reason I cant find it on Vista but on my Xp I find easy so can some one help me find where I find setting so I can adjust it.

Thanks,Blake

i think you may be getting things mixed up, the recovery partition is for a complete system restoration to factory defaults. both vista and xp have a separate system restore point program that makes restore files in your regular drive, these are for rolling back your hard drive if you have installed something that is making your system unstable. Do not mess with the recovery partition unless you have separate cds to restore your system from.
