Hey guys, first time I've posted here, but been on many times looking up different things. Anyway I'm in the process of taking out my ac compressor in my 90 240sx for a rebuild. In case anyone's wondering the model for the compressor is a Nihon NVR140S and you can find the seal kits online at multiple places. Keep in mind that this compressor is only for the single cam 89-90 guys. I just ordered them from Action-Ac.com. Just thought I'd let ya know since it appears they're hard to figure out/find on the internet. Good luck!

Yep that sounds right......I haven't received my seals yet, but I know the total shipped was around $28. And I believe shipping was around 7$ so those sound like the right parts listed. There was the main seal which was $16 and some change, and then the other seals which were around $3. So I think you got the right ones listed there.

hey brother, did those seals work for you? my compressor just went after the car sat for 7 months...so i'd like to rebuild in stead of dropping 200+ for a new compressor...

Wow, I haven't been here in a while and still haven't done anything with the compressor. It's still on the car, still not working :)

Now all thats left to do is replace all the rubber o-rings and seals. reassemble and enjoy a cold A/C.[/quote]

Completely misleading. This is a cheap reseal. Their is nothing rebuilt about it.

I know this is an old topic but I used this guide yesterday when I took the compressor apart in my 90 Sentra (which uses the same compressor featured here), just wanted to say that my compressor although the same model is not the same as in these pics, first once the clutch is removed there is no lock ring, mine has a snap ring holding the pulley to the magnet assembly. Also where this writeup says to remove the 6 bolts which are hex head mine has Allen head bolts. Once you remove the front cover and pull the actual compressor part out mine looks different as well, and the seal that the OP said was his problem looks totally different than the seal in the compressor I have, this is what my seal looks like:

just wanted to share what I found, my compressor which was a four seasons reman unit started making a really bad metal to metal noise, upon dis assembly I discovered the magnet assembly which the OP showed is attached using 6 screws, mine had sheared off all the screws and I guess was rotating with the pulley causing the noise. There were remnants of what may have been a couple screws inside but they were so tore up you can't even see where they had threads on them!!

new compressor time, may pick up a cheapy from e-bay for now until I can afford to get a new OEM compressor. I haven't had the best of luck with re manufactured compressors, first one lasted 11 months and was replaced under warranty, second one went almost a year and store would not exchange it leading to where I am now.

I finally got around to removing mine and taking it apart!
Does anyone have any info on torque specs for reassembly and remounting ?
I'd hate to go with "just tight enough" :)

Haven't looked. I'm not expecting the FSM to have A/C compressor take apart-and-put-back-together specs other than mounting it on the car

I believe Seal for 1991-1993 ka24de should be the same as as gm v5 seal.

Autozone has santech part number mt2105 for the shaft. The large o-rings come in a kit that can be found on ebay by searching v5 compressor kit.

This guide is similar and should be read through entirely before beginning:

"How I replaced the shaft seal and case orings on my V5 Compressor"

Woah revival of a 2 yr old thread. You think or it is? Also is the 93 compressor diff then the 91 92? Since I believe Nissan went r134 in 93
