How to read VIN of the 96' I30?

Hi.I went to Autozone because of CEL.They scan my car and then told me 2 bad things which are oxygen sensors and knock sensor. I would try to buy those things at Autozone, but it cost almost $500... huh... So I decide to buy on the Internet. Some internet parts shop ask me what years and what months was the car made? They usually asked that "before 7/96 or after 7/96.Unfortunately I don't what months so I need to read VIN.Would you let me know And recommand which brand is good for I30 besides a way to get them cheaply if you know?I mean O2 sensors and Knock sensor.Thanks.
