As some of you know, the ECU that came with my swap has a daugtherboard preinstalled in it, but I have no idea what program is on it, or what exactly its changing. I know for sure that it has the speed limiter removed and must have some sort of idle stabilizer because even with the atmospherically discharging BOV it never even tries to stall.

So my question is this, how can I tell what exactly is on these rom chips? Is there a program that I can use to see that, or is it possible for me to alter them to read different injectors, a larger MAFS, etc?

If theres no way, or no fairly simple way for me to check the settings or alter them, is there still a shop somewhere in the Central Florida area that can?

Any markings or stickers on the ECU? There are many different tuners and boards out there between Japan, Australia, Europe and now the US.

We are now doing ROM tunes here at XAT Racing in Tampa. Can't promise we can read it/program, as there are also different software tuning options...but we can at least get it on our dyno and wide band and see what it is doing (A/F and power curve).

Do you have any other tuneable electronics on the car? safc/boost controller etc?

No other tunable electronics in the car.

The ECU itself is kinda odd, it doesn't have a 62 on the cover, but instead says "Nissan Factory Remanufactured ECU" or something to that effect. There is no check engine LED, and there was never one even installed on the board, the holes where it would solder in are perfect and untouched.

As I recall, I even had to break little stickers to access the screws holding the cover on. The rom chips don't have any stickers on them identifying them. I haven't tried pulling the daughter board and running the car that way so I'm not sure if theres any difference with it other than the speed governer.

Oh a side note, I got the longblock I'm currently running from you guys not too long ago. Still running strong.
