Here is how i did my 0 gauge ground cable upgrade:

Image
here is what the stock ground cable looks like before modification^

Image
0 gauge cable on the left vs. the stock cable on the right^

Image
^stock ground cable pulled out and the terminal cut off, this is how you will slide off the voltage sensor.

Image
^measured and cut the wires to length based on the length of the stock ground connector when i pulled it out, then used my hydraulic crimp tool to get the ring terminals on.

Image
^i had to carefully sand/file the hole in the voltage sensor bigger to be able to fit the 0 gauge cable through.

Image
^voltage sensor inline and all ring terminals on
note: you make the ground to engine block cable the same way, it just wont have a voltage senor inline.

Image
^here is what the connections on the bracket looks like, i added an additional ground to chassis from this bracket to a factory ground point near the headlight, when you remove your battery you will be able to see two factory ground points to the left of the headlight, i chose one and connected my ground there, again that area was sanded to bare metal also for a good connection.

Man, that looks clean. Nicely done sir! I think I have an idea of the answer already, but what's the benefit of upgrading to a higher gauge ground cable? Also, where did you get the cable, and did you have to buy a whole spool of it?

thank you sir, i bought the cable by the foot here http://www.knukonceptz.com/mobile-audio ... und-cable/
i measured how much i would need before hand and then added an extra foot or so to my order just to be safe.
for me my major benefit from this is stable voltage for my amps, i have 2 12' sundowns in the back and another amp will be added along with new door speakers.
regardless of audio system or not i think this upgrade with be beneficial to the cars electrical system overall.
