First, get mentally ready, As in promising yourself to never smoke again, just like you did all the other times you tried to quit.

Then put two cigarettes in a glass of water, leave it overnight, then drink it the morning after. You will never be able to deal with that taste/aroma again. Ever. You just have to hold out till for the first three days. Whenever you get the urge, go look at the cigarette tea (pretty disgusting).

or

Method B: Promise yourself that you have to drink that cigarette tea if you smoke again.

Just do it!

It worked for me, and now I haven´t looked back. Ever!

Laaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaate!

I smoked for 9years and with SmokeAway . No Joke. I only used it for one day. Altho it was horrible, making me like I was going to puke everywhere for the rest of the day. I mean on that system, they fukin feed you nasy tasteing horse sized pills, and a crap load of them. Start off in the morning and eat 3 500mg pills, then in the afternoon eat 2 of those big *** pills and before you go to sleep if you aint chocking on your own vomit by then take 3 more of the big ***, *** tasting pills. Then they give some small pills to take in between the big pills if you want. I mean, Jesus! You dont even need to eat food the whole day, just eat all those fukin pills and you'll be straight. My mouth is starting to water thinking about the taste of that crap. I must admit it worked for me, and Im positive it would work for you as long as you follow there DetoxPlan. I quit in one day with that crap. As far as ghetto means of quiting, dip the cig in milk, let it dry and smoke it. No joke, dont belive me? go try it....

That doesn't sound like much fun. So, did the pills taste like nicotine, or something?

No, You know those vitamin pills that are goldish brown, looks like a bunch of fragments clumped together, and that smell, by touching the pill and even after washing your hands, you can still smell that crap. Well I tasted just like those things, and since you eat so many of them that taste is in your mouth the whole day. It was not fun at all, but I really needed to quit smoking.

hmm, all of the above sound like good plans, unfortunately if you are a frequent drinker, anything tastes ok, so even if you drink cig water or cig milk and can never handle the smell or taste again, if you are drunk, youd probably get past it. Thats why I dont really bother trying to quit now in my college years, because I know as long as I drink more than once a week, situation = hopeless.

I quit for almost a year and then started up again. When I quit I just did it cold turkey. Wish I had never started back smoking again.

If you put two cigarettes in a glass of water and let it soak long enough, then drink it all, can't that kill you?

You know what's odd? My great-grandmother died last year at the ripe old age of 95. And she smoked at least a pack a day! I remembered that whenever we'd visit her in the rest home, she always send my mom out to get her a carton of Marlboro. One time, my mom refused because she was afraid of her health. So my great-grannie cussed her out and threw a pistachio her face. Sigh, she was such a cool person... (r.i.p.)

I think your great grandmother was a lucky exception. God Bless her. Smoking's gotta be one of the toughest addictions to kick. One of my friends finally quit after many years when his doctor essentially told him if he didn't cut down drastically/quit, he likely wouldn't be around to watch his kids grow up.

Ehhh, figure I'll throw in my story as well. I quit the first time when I was 19. I had been smoking since I was 14. I was in college and was huffing it up a hill when I thought I was having a heart attack so I just proceeded to walk on over to my doctor which was right on campus almost and see him. My lungs and chest were badly inflamed and he said that I had better quit immediately. So I did. It felt like there was an elephant sitting on my chest. Needless to say I developed asthma from all of this nonsense and have to take medicine 2 times a day. When before I had some of the strongest, healthiest lungs. Idiot me decides to start smoking again in Oct of 2003. I like to smoke if I drink and that just grew until I was smoking regularly again. May 23rd 2004, just a little over a month ago, I lost my grandmother to lung cancer. It was actually the 3rd death in my family since April of 04 all stemming from lung cancer and that went on to be 5 deaths since april but that's besides the point. I sat with my grandmother every day for 6 weeks without as much as leaving or sleeping for more than an hour at a time. She was at home dying of lung cancer that had spread throughout her whole body. When you hold a dying person's hand and watch their pain and watch them struggle and gasp for air like a fish out of water because their lungs can't process air. It will make you think twice about smoking again. I held her hand until her lungs wouldn't work anymore and she died. But if you ever see that pain and struggle in the eyes of someone you love.....you'd lay your cigarettes down too. I had a dream that she wanted me to quit after she died. (She didn't know I smoked) I quit 3 days ago on the 23rd of July. One month after she died.

Just pretend that the cigarette is a pen15. If you're straight, you'll have no problem quitting.
