Long story short: My emblem on my hood vanished and I bought a used one. (It does not have pins on the back)

Please give me a step by step on how to put it on including any products I should use. BE SPECIFIC PLEASE! (ie. don't say "use tape"... I'm looking for: what tape, what brand, possibly where to buy, etc.)

Thanks

clean the whole area around where the emblem was

buy bondo or a small fiberglass kit from walmart or body shop

follow instructions on package, smooth out with big popsicle stick

buy touch up paint to match your car

wax and buff to a showroom shine, youll be happier this way (without the hamburger on your nose)

oh, well i got this hamburger so I might as well put it on.

if it falls off again i'd consider that.

were you saying to bondo it on r just use it to fill the holes?

In the past, I've just used some of the outdoor silicone. I used rubbing alcohol to clean the surface where I was going to stick it..then put the silicone on the emblem and stuck it down. Hasn't come off yet and it's been like 2 years.

Glue I think. It was like a paste almost, but it was clear. Kinda like a thick glue.

I say use silicone from auto zone I used it for my right mirrior and its been on for about 1 and a half years. Just make sure you clean it good and put pressers on in for as long as you can.

"Ideal for attaching vehicle body side moldings, trims, and emblems"

i was told that if i use silicone glue, i probably won't ever be able to get it off again. with this, i guess it sticks pretty good and i can. (i'm pretty sure it's the leftover stuff on the old emblem/car too)

oh well.
