I just picked up my '08 G35x with premium package, in titanium gray and black interior. Sweet!!

I want to play videos from my ipod, so I bought a ipod out to a/v connection, plugged it in, put it in park, and . . . . nothing. No video. So, I tried switching to AUX, but no video.

1) Can you play video from ipod on the screen? I don't have nav.2) If so, how do you get it to show up? The audio comes through in ipod mode, but that's it.3) If not, what devices do work on the video screen? Portable DVD? Video game system like Gamecube?

Any tips or feedback is appreciated!

What does the owners manual say?

I think you also gotta pull up the e-brake. I just bought an 07 (going to pick it up on tuesday) and I think that's what the manual says.

You may be right. Now that you mention it, I recall reading somewhere (in the manual, most likely) that the emergency brake has to be on. I'll check it out - Thanks!

BTW - the manual isn't very clear on this section. More details and guidance would be helpful.

You need to be in park, and possibly have the E-brake on.

OK, so I put the ebrake on, car running, in park. Ipod hooked through either or both connections, playing a music video. The song comes through the audio but the picture does not in audio mode or AUX mode. Maybe it's because it's a music video and not a movie/video? I think that the ipod won't play video through the system.

I got video in my 07 G35x, in Park with eBrake on. I plugged one of those 4-in-one battery operater video came things in (one with MS Pac man, Galaga etc. on it). I keep it in the trunk, then if I get stuck waiting for a ferry or something, I can plug it in and play some nostalgic old video games.

I don't know much about the iPod, but I suspect it's only outputting audio, and not video.

does anyone know of a bypass so that you can watch videos without having to put it in park and engage the e-brake?
