so i hooked up a boost leak tester to the piping that runs to the turbo and left the other side connected to the TB. hooked my air compressor up and found one leak imediatly. but i cant get it past 20psi and as soon as i take the air off it drops back down to zero in a matter of about 5-10 seconds? is it supposed to do this. i have zero leaks with my piping. this may be normal, i honestly have no clue and no one to ask in the area. i tried searching. i couldnt find anything and hate the search results i always get. i usually get "no information matches your request" or whatever. i miss the old search were it would just show the thread title. anyways. help is needed and appreciated.

you cant hear where is it leaking from? Stock turbo?

Leak down test is different. Do you have a leak down tester? Kind of like a compression tester but two gauges, and a valve to let air in and out..

What you are doing is called a boost leak test. A leak down test measures the amount of air leaking past the rings or valve seats when all valves are closed.

Get a spray bottle and put some dilute soapy water in it and spray it at any possible point for leaks. Couplers, BOV flange, fitting, etc. Another method is to use a propane torch and do the same thing, but obviously don't light it. If the engine is running and the idle increases as you apply propane, then it has a leak.

And you can click a box to have your search results be returned as titles before you hit go.

That's pretty normal, you're just looking for leaks like Darius said.
