Yeah so most of well everyone pays off their smog tech. But there has got to be another way. Does anyone have any sucess with those bottles of unknown **** on the internet?Obviously no one wants to pour some strange liquid into their car without knowing the side effects. And because I know you all will tell me to pay off the btard, how much should I pay?How should I go about paying him off? I mean I can't just say: hey make sure this thing passes smog, and hand him some money without getting in trouble with police.

You don't pay off the smog tech, you make your car legal so it can pass on its own. If you can't afford to do that, then you should not own it.

Pretty simple actually.

U mean have them "fix" it? Even if they try to fix it, the car doesnt pass smog. Happend to my buddies turbo RSX. They charged him 700bucks to have it "fixed" and still didnt pass. Then they said to have them fix it again for over 1k.I cant afford 1k for some moron in a smog shop to **** around with my car.Even if you pass smog, u cant pass the visual inspection "what are these two identical massive turbos doing in this NA car engine bay? hmmm... is that legal in California?"U catch my drift? But i forgot new cars have 6 year exemption, where i live. (YES!) Which will be enough time for me to put everything i want/ need enjoy it then take it out. And around here sometimes you dont have to get checks for 2-4years at a time! just goes to show what a few hours of searching did. But then again i dont like having to retune my enine every 2 years... that cant be good for my budget or my engine...So the question still applies...sorry if i seem hostile... i just talk like that.

Dude, you live in California so you either pay or play. If the car is illegal by California standards then it should be changed until it meets those standards. If that means you can't turbo a non-turbo car then you can't do it and expect to pass smog. If you don't like it, then work on getting a petition up to have the laws changed.

Anyone who fails smog and lets the shop doing the test work on it is a fool with money to burn. Always take it to a place you trust.

You are contradicting your first post, and not answering my original question. Do those liquids on the internet actually do anything... ect. I can deal with the visual inspection easily. (pull a lexus engine bay cover, they NEVER check under it). This seems to happen on all my threads; somone is using information that i already stated against me. Whatever. With all do respect, you can go ahead and close this this thread im not going to get anything from you all it seems.

You can use something like seafoam to help clean carbon out of the system which will help the car run smoother. Injector cleaner does not hurt either. If the car can pass visual inspection and fails after performing a "tuneup" and cleaning the system out then something is "out of whack" and the problem itself should be tracked down instead of trying to hide it. Usually these style problems result in a bad tune, thus lack of HP and fuel economy.

Just make it smog legal to pass the test and then switch it back.

hahahaha

Saving up to turbo your Dad's car that you don't own and aren't old enough to drive is beyond laughable. How about buy your own car? And the 110K deal, what's your point? Some people make 20K, some make 500K a year on here. Who cares? My suggestion for you, save up your money for an english tutor and typing lessons

I have some info for you!Why dont you just answer my goddam questions so I dont have to make a fool of YOU? Saving up for a car i cant even drive? lol ive gotten now 63 timed hours of night driving in that car when no one is home. Ive gone 107mph (not that fast) and Im getting sick of being bashed for wanting a head start on everyone. Besides, my dad will be selling the z when he gets a raise, and we would rather give it to me, than sell it.Oh and in technicality it is under "my" name as our names are identical in the english language.I dont need an English or typing lessons, so far I have an B+ in 11th grade Honors English. I am in 10th grade btw. Typing... im not fast (30ish wpm easy, 40ish when need to go a bit faster) but who cares about being 100% right when its for a forum....I dont want to start bashing Moderators, simply because I like this site.So how about we forget WHO I AM, and start over and answer my damn questions? Is that fair?Hell I will even let you bash the hell out of me as long as you answer my questions. Ok?

most of the chemicals are just snake oil, if you car is putting out illeagle emissions then you have a problem that needs to be fixed, there are 50 state legal turbo and sc kits, if you can't pass either something is not functioning as it should, fix whatever is wrong and you should be able to pass

A model car will have specific emission standards. When you alter the cars performance you alter the cars emissions. Smog checks are to regulate emissions. A RSX with turbo will put out higher emissions than what is allowed by the California SMOG will allow. The only way to pass is to put everything back to OEM, I have a few friends with turbo civics and every two years they put it back to stock and go smog. That’s just how it work.

"nissan experts" i dont understand why you think bashing on me is actualy helping me... or anyone else.
