I don't know if anyone wrote this yet for us Versa owners ... If not, here's the how to. It's very simple!

You will need 600 wet or dry sand paper, Dupli-colour Engine Paint (whatever colour you choose) and the clear coat.

Image

Step 1: Remove the cover. I also removed the felt underneath the cover, along with all screws.

Image

Step 2: Remove the Nissan logo. The logo is not attached with any adhesive, rather tiny clips; so it should be easy to reinstall back on :)

Image

Step 3: Wash the cover using dish soap. Scrub off any dirt, rinse and repeat. Then I took the sand paper and started to sand it down. Rinsed it once, then re-sanded.

Image

Step 4: Paint the cover. First two coats are light, followed by a third wet coat. Allow 10 minutes to dry after each coat. Fourth coat is the clear coat. The cover will be dry in one hour. After 3 hours it is okay to handle the cover and put it back.

*Once mine is fully dry, I will put it in the car and take more pics* :D

What doesn't look shiny?

It received the same amount of paint and clear coat on each piece! It just depends on how the light is hitting the object!

600 was recommended so that is what I used. I got the wet or dry one and started sanding it before it was even dry.

Hey marinemonkey. Thanks for the kind words.

I got the hood deflector at my dealership for around $80 cdn. Apparently US dealers do not sell them. I'm not sure where abouts you are located, but if you are in Canada just stop at your dealership to buy one.

LOL
I have never had kids sit in my car. When we have had to drive relatives with kids somewhere, we take good old Chuckie. I refuse to get my car dirty and full of sticky hands ... I work with kids everyday, I don't need them messing up my car! LOL!

I just have an obsession with the car being clean. I hate having a dirty car.

I assume you were able to get a teaching job, then!
They are tough to come by right now.
Top Gear is on, from 2003, season 2.
Dull interview, though.
Sorry, off topic :poke:

No I'm still looking for a teaching job. They are extremely hard to get. But I was lucky enough to get hired by the HWCDSB to work as a full-time tutor. So I was at the same school, every day, tutoring SK students, grade 2's, 3's and 4's. It was a good experience, and the job paid well; but the school year has come to an end. So, now I'm working at the bank all summer.
