so my car used to be a automatic that i converted to 5 speed for my rb swap and i just hooked up my hks turbo timer and the car will not release the key until the countdown is done and the car is off...I've searched and seen many post but none of which tell the outcome. basically im trying to find a way to bypass the shift lock only and not break or rig anything so my turbo timer can work properly, im reading up on the fsm wiring but if someone has already figured out a solution it would help me greatly

thanks
cory

Someone went over this before but there is two wires on the harness that would lead to you automatic gear selector that you need to jump. Im not positive what wires they are but I would say search and if noting comes up i'll go look at the schematic and get back to you which two they are.

Edit: You might just be able to pull the plug on the green lock box under your dash, that may solve the problem although I would rather do it the other way.

nah its much more simple than that, it came to me 2 min. after i posted this...the actual shift lock thats on the key column has a 2 prong plug just unplug it, done...i actually unplugged mine by taking the tiny piece of trim around the key hole and found the wires and unplugged it
