Ok a guy with a coupe in town has the angled I wanted, so I decided to shop around and found really only HKS offers a bolt on angle kit for the Z32...

I soon realised that the HKS Hiper Exhaust is not made for the 2+2 models, but if I only really want the mufflers at the angle (since I already really have an exhaust system from prev. owner) could I just swap my muffler extension parts for the Hiper angled pipes?

Stock mufflers, I believe, are the same measurement on all Z32s OEM, but I want to really make sure before I seek a Hiper system.

I figure that the other parts in the Hiper Kit may be angled as well, not just the muffler extension so it MIGHT not bolt up properly.

How the stock system is comprisedhttp://www.300zx-twinturbo.com...l=4The HKS Hiper Systemhttp://www.z1motorsports.com/p...id=88

OPEN TO OTHER KITS YOU KNOW OF TOO

nsrZ32, I know you have the Hiper kit, is there any problem (or difference) from the stock setup that the muffler piece would have if I were to bolt up to my system on my 2+2?

I'll try to check it out for you tonight (if I get a chance, uber busy with the holidays coming) and do some measuring and such but I know you can't just bolt the rear section up to the 2+2.

I do believe that Specialty Z / Sebring makes an angled exhaust for the 2+2 though.

I went to their site (Specialty Z), saw nothing like the hiper exhaust. I specifically want that style of muffler angled. Am I missing it?

Also Z1 said that the hiper system won't work because the gas tank is in the way.... I didn't think the larger 2+2 tank was that big...

I guess I was under the impression that the pipes would bolt up no matter what with a gasket and proper hangers since the length of stock mufflers and aftermarket are relatively similar. However I guess you have to take into account they change the entire outlaying of the exhaust when doing these aftermarket systems

Coupe exhaust will not bolt up to a 2+2. They also have different mufflers. The 2+2 is alot longer and the mufflers are different because of the gas tank in the rear as opposed to the coupe (middle of the car). HKS should make something for the 2+2 considering most of the 300zx's in Japan are 2+2. Good Luck.
